For Flight DUS430, Dao Soprano Ukulele uses magnificent laminated Dao. Dao is a tree with many names. The Paldao is the heartwood of South East Asia. It is greyish-brown with a slightly green cast and prominent dark stripes, from brown to black. Dao has a vivid, warm sound that is close to mahogany in tone. Our Dao ukuleles feature African okoume and Walnut on the neck and fingerboard. It is a brilliant combo that ensures consistent intonation around the fretboard, is easy on the fingertips, and looks really good. Flight has also added fancy abalone fret markers to the fingerboard to set this uke apart from the others in the Supernatural series. The nut can seem to be a minor component, but it has a significant impact on the sound quality of an instrument. The DUS430’s nut and saddle are made of bone.
This ukulele has a well-crafted headstock with elegant golden geared tuners that will never fall out of tune. For a modern, fresh look, we have improved the maple headstock inlays. Flight gig bags have been famous for being light and trendy while still providing exceptional security for your ukulele. With one slung over your shoulder, you will undoubtedly turn heads.
