The Mustang Flight is built of sturdy acacia. Acacia is a wood with a long record of punch, volume, and tone in the ukulele mansion. Flight chooses just the most high-grade acacia for the Royal collection, which sounds as amazing as it appears. Because of its unique staining process, Mustang has a reddish hue that makes it even more impressive. Flight tries to test the new ideas in instruments that end in an amazing invention like Flight Mustang ukulele acacia fretboard. As a ukulele’s tone relies on the woods in its neck and its fretboard. The additional advantage is that the fretboard’s presence contributes to the wild, uninhibited look of the Mustang. Flight chose to install offset fretboard markers to its side to further spice it up.
One of the new ukulele trends is a string-through bridge. It improves the resonance of the top since strings are bound to the top soundboard and not to the bridge. The scalloped cutaway was a true success in Flight Victoria ukulele and it was not a brainer to repeat it in Spirit and Mustang. It also showcases the absolute craftsmanship and mastery of our luthier. As our classic beige color has already been iconic, we decided to try something new for this series, so we chose a Burgundy Red with a purple undertone.
